Hello,

I am 1.90 mt tall, little belly ;) and I weight 98 kgs.

Last year I used to dive with 8kgs weight using a 3mm wet suit.

This year was big mess with my new scubapro pacific stream wetsuit 5mm
I needed to add another 2kgs weights for a total of 10kgs, I think it
is tooo much !

I want to reduce it, how can I do ?

Some say is the way I breath ? is it ?

All I know is that in order to go down I have to take off all GAV / BC
air offcourse and also air from my longs once I reach 10 meters I stay
down, and then if needed balance my BC

But as soon as my air tanks gets to 100 bar i become a lot positive
and tend to go up and the big mess starts if I had only 8 kgs, thats
why now I am diving with 10kgs.

How can I solve this? I notice people of my similar weight diving with
6 kgs only why i cant?

If all divign equipment is negative expect tank as it gets empty and
wet suit, why i need 10kgs if all that stuff isnt 10kgs positive?

Can you please explain me wha tis going on and how can I weight much
less?

Thanks a lot,

Mario

I use about 10 kg with my 7 mm FJ wetsuit. I am 120 kg. with a height of 1.8
m. 10 kg sounds like a lot for a 5 mm suit.

New suits tend to be somewhat buoyant. If that suit has a close fitting neck
seal, it could be trapping air. Make an effort to fully flood that suit when
you get into the water. I had a suit that was like that, somewhat like what
is called a semi-dry.

Good luck.
