The print out after a dive goes something like this:

Dive No. 11        14/11/2003   <<--(This increments from 1 to 99)
Place

Max Depth        xx
Dive Time           xx:xx
Date of Dive       xx/xx/xx
Start Time        xx:xx
End Time        xx:xx
DC Dive no.        x        <<-- Can you tell me what this refers to?
Surface Interval    xx:xx

What is a 'DC Dive'? The number starts at 1 each day and increments for
each dive done that day. So far, this number has been 2, except when an
aditional night dive was done. It then starts again at 1 the next day
(24hr period I assume).

It does not refer to a deco dive because all of the dives have been
within the 'no stop' BSAC dive table parameters.

I bet it's something obvious and i'm going to blush.

Thanks

Once the computer decides you have no more DC obligation, it will go back to
one, and the display will clear.

This is from the manual....

"Several repetitive dives are considered to belong
to the same repetitive dive series when the dive
computer has not counted the no-flying time to
zero. Within each series, the dives are given individual
numbers. The first dive of the series will be
numbered as DIVE 1, the second as DIVE 2, the
third as DIVE 3, etc."

In other words, RTFM?
