Anyone see this movie premiere at Sundance? It looks pretty good from
the trailers. It says it's based on an actual event, does anyone know
anything about it?

Looks like a piece of over hyped crap to me.  Another "adventure in
real life".  I'll wait until it's on ppv and then ignore it there.

When I was a kid, I thought the angel's name was Hark
and the horse's name was Bob.

"Based on true events", means that a bit of it is true, the rest is
imagination.

Lion's Gate Films means its a Canuckistan production. That is good of
course. Everything Canadian is good....

It's a movie based on events that happened to divers Thomas and Eileen
Lonergan. They were left behind by a dive charter on the Great Barrier Reef
in the late 90's. The reviews I've read made it sound quite frightening, and
if it's limited release shows up some where around here I will check it out.
No special effects were used for the sharks (probable cause of death for the
pair), they were all filmed live with the actors in the water..

I would rate it "special effect that the actors didn' wear their masks
in the water.
Probably to get nearer to the idea of being in panic.
Hilarious.

If the script had known better, they would have been told to place them
on the forehead, as all know, a signicant sign of panic...
