Figured I'd toss this one out to you gentlemen south of me.

I'd be interested in a day of diving we so richly deserve.

Love to get a pair of dives on a boat that has room for 3 tanks, and get
a drop on the Hydro-Atlantic, followed by one of Mike's boring reef dives.
;-)   Or, something at least near as good, preferably with a boat that will
let us do our own dive.

Mike?  Lee?  Dan?  Bullshark?  Bill?   Mike B?   Email me.

Hi folks. I'll be down in Lake Worth starting on Saturday 5/22 and was
wondering if anyone is diving Sunday 5/23 (morning) with the Splashdown
folks. I might join you.

Al Wells & I will be on Saturday the 22nd. No diving on Sunday the 23rd,
bad weather.

Hi Mike:

I'm (as always) a bit confused. How can you be planning on diving on the
22nd and also know that the 23rd is going to have bad weather?

Also, what do you look at for upcoming weather? weather.com only shows the
next 10 days.

Thanks.

Saturday 22nd: early overcast burning off by mid morning, afternoon
scattered thunderstorms, seas 2-4, water temp 78, viz 60.

Sunday 23rd: morning rain and gusty, seas 4-6, water temp 77, viz 50.

Obviously, Saturday is the better choice.

Mike:

Where are you getting these forecasts 14 days in advance? (I'd love to know
the site, I've only found 10 days in advance). Also, up here in NH, we can
only take a 3-4 day advance forecast with ANY credibility - most are really
bad. (Yesterday called for rain overnight and through the morning and it's
been sunny and clear since I woke up with no evidence of rain at all.)

I'd love to know what it's supposed to be in SoFla both for  my diving and
since I'm hoping to do a "resort" course with Jim Wyatt for my son on the
27th at Looe Key. Jim's reporting that the winds have been high down his way
so we might not get that in.

As always, thanks for the info.

High?  He only said high?  The winds haven't been high, they've been
incredibly miserable, consistently out of the worst possible direction, and
getting worse.  As I recall, my boat's a bit larger than Jims and I can't
even get out for some fishing, let alone diving.  I'm getting real tired of
the wind.  Unlike Jim, however, I don't put food on my plate by heading out
to sea . . . well, not exclusively.

Maybe not, I think Mike pulled that forecast out of his a.s.

Cindy and I will be on Splashdown on Saturday morning and on the night
dive (if she gets enough people to run), and on Miss Conduct
http://members.tripod.com/~missconduct/
on Sunday morning for some of the reef at Pompano.

Damn, do you think it will be better down in Pompano Beach? We were
planning on diving with Conrad on Sunday.

   Not Mike and Al.......never!

I'd be tempted, but reckon I'll have a paint brush in my hand that
weekend.

Too bad, but there will be more weekends. I'd like to do the Hydro too.
I usually do it with Conrad Nix, who will go with only 2 divers if
that's all you have. We're doing the reef on this trip. We're fixing the
doubles/deco gear logistics so that we will have gear staged in
Jacksonville, so we can easily fly down and go either to the caves or to
SoFL on weekends.

If you find that can get away that weekend, c'mon down and dive with us.

Will do, but that will be a busy one.  Gonna use a cherry picker to do
the second story rather than the tall ladders I used last time, so
scheduling is important.

It's hard to get on the Hydro any more. Nobody dives deep wrecks since
the DIR folks put the fear of God in everyone. Lynn always gave the best
drops there, but ya'll have to get 4-5 other divers and do it during the
week. (OK if I come along on with a single of air?) Or try Richard
(561-252-3929) or Craig (561-212-2954).

If you don't have any luck with Mikes contacts, drop me a line Curtis, I can
find someone to drop you on it.

Dave.

Mike probably could do it with his 100.

Maybe so, but that's 3 differences for me......supply, of what, and
dubs.

Done it with an 80.

I'm interested, but may not be able.  My boat club does a couple of fishing
tournaments and a dinner right around then and I suspect that at least one
of the events will be on that weekend.  Since Jayna's running the lady's
tournament and my boat will be entered in both the lady's and men's
tournaments, I'm not likely to be available that weekend.  I'll check and
let you know for sure.
