On Monday the planets aligned properly and I saw an opportunity to dive
of Pompano, Florida the next day. Sadly, our local dive store on the
Treasure Coast (130 miles North of Pompano) was out of any sort of
rebreather scrubber material.

I phoned up Fill Express and explained that I was comming down for one
boat trip the next day and asked if I could purchase some 'sorb and get
fills, etc. I was expecting to have to buy an entire jug of Sofnolime.

Because of my diving and filming schedule, I will not be using any
Sofnolime between now and July here in the States. Fill Express offered
to sell one scrubber full of 'sorb! Perfect for what I had in mind!

They weigh your scrubber empty, you fill your scrubber with Sofnolime,
then they weigh it again and charge you for the difference in weight
times the retail price of Sofnolime. What a deal!

They also charge for fills (air, nitrox, oxygen, helium) by the cubic
foot, yet another great value.

You would think that these great values would yeild savings for the
traveling diver. Not so! While there I picked up $130 worth of DiveRite
stuff the I needed.

Kudos to Fill Express!
