Does anyone have any pics or links to pics with recent pictures of the
Speigel Grove?  I dove on it a couple of times 2 weeks after it was sunk and
was just curious as to how much growth has occured since. Thanks

Not having seen it won't stop me from postulating.

I would say that the character of the growth on her at this early date would
be microscopic and rather translucent. Possible to photograph, but not
terribly vivid.

Do a fun study! Take a picture, the same type of record picture, every time
you visit. I would suggest the shallowest rails with the most solar
exposure. You'll have a cool collection showing growth some day.

Me neither.  My guess is that your guess underestimates the environment the
ship is in.  In my experience, the stuff that inhabits S. Florida wrecks has
a phenominal growth rate.  Guess I'll have to arrange to go look for myself.

When I dove on it 2 weeks after it was sunk, it had quite a bit of visible
growth already on it.
