Any South Carolina divers? I am curious about good charters and water temps
this time of year.

Dolphin Dive Charters  and Coastal Scuba are the charters in North
Myrtle Beach, and Scuba Express is the guy in Murrells Inlet. Freedom at
Depth and Charleston Scuba run out of Charleston. I like the guys in NMB
for wreck diving.

This time of the year the water is usually low to mid 60's inshore and a
little warmer offshore. It gets into the 80's in the summer. If you are
a wreckdiver, the guys in North Myrtle Beach are friendlier toward that.
The offshore wrecks are really good, but the boat rides are long.
Dolphin just got a new insanely fast boat, but I have not been out on it
yet.

Charleston is mostly artificial reef and ledges. The spearfishing is
really good down there, but Charleston Scuba is a no take boat.

This time of year is iffy - you might get blown out twice for every time
you get out until mid May.

The Cooper River is good when it is blowing on the ocean. It is a very
different dive, in dark water, but the prize is huge fossilized shark
teeth.

Thanks, I will probably check out the NMB charters. Low 60s is about my
limit, but I still get to blow bubbles!
