remember back when you decided to spend your $450/?300 on an open water
course?????
what made you spend your hard earned cash???? what made you 'buy into scuba
diving?' why didn't you take up skydiving(other than a fear of heights!!!)
or white water rafting? I'm doing some research towards a thesis on the
diving industry.
thanks for your input

Umm ,, actually I took up parachuting and diving at roughly the same
time, eventually decided I couldn't afford to do both, and living by the
sea made the choice easier - that and landing on the wrong side of the
airfield perimeter fence one day

Nope... mine was only $225

The chicks in wetsuits...

Well................I only paid $95.00 U.S for mine but that was a few
years ago (like 30).

Skin diving and lobstering in the Keys every summer since I was 5. It
helped that Dad was certified.
why didn't you take up skydiving(other than a fear of heights!!!)
>or white water rafting?
Not much white water in west central Fla. Didn't have any interest in
skydiving as a kid. I've tried it since and I didn't get the thrill I thought
it would deliver. Well, except the part where the shute didn't open completely.

Not really. I do remember spending $130, though.

I do a lot of whitewater rafting, too. It's free since my friends and I
collectively own rafts and take them down class iv and v rivers ourselves.

Holy bankjob batman, that's steep. Here basic PADI course runs ~$250
Canadian, that's about 100 pounds.

Tried it, was very disappointed (minus the parasailing part which I've
wanted to try ever since).
>or white water rafting?
Tried that too. Lots of fun, still do it on occasion, but not something
I'd take up full time.

You need it.
