I recently noticed, in a CAMPMOR catalog, a pair of U.S. Divers' Splitflex
fins for 21.00 US.
Any comments about them?
Are they functional knock offs of the "original" split fin?
Thanks.

Got them at Wal-Mart last summer. Try them that way
and you can return them if you don't like them. I tried
three masks/goggles from Wal-Mart and eventually
had to get one from a dive shop. The fins are durable
and comfortable. The open heel straps work well.
A small-stroke push/flutter kick similar to stair climbing
motion works well for a top speed of 3 feet per second.
But that was for casual snorkeling and freediving to
fifty feet with no current. They might not be safe to use
for anything else. But I enjoyed them all summer. :)

I assume that you didn't compare them with other split fin models.
P.S. what was the W-M price?

You might want to try a set before buying. They don't have the thrust of the
conventional style fin. Female divers love them but i don't recommend them
for spearfishing or ocean coastal diving. P.
