Hi,
We like the Andrews Inn in Key West. It's a small inn with only about 6
rooms and it's right off
Duval St. (the main tourist street in KW) but is down a small drive in the
middle of a block so its
all peaceful and quiet (it backends to Hemmingway's mansion if you are
familiar with KW). Their
website is http://www.andrewsinn.com. There's no main house, it's just a
cluster of rooms around
the pool and you get breakfast and an afternoon snack with wine outside
under the overhanging
trees (I'm actually staying there in 3 weeks on my annual trek to KW). As
far as diving goes,
there's several though I stay away from Captain's corner as I thought they
had some safety issues
that they didn't want to address (like diving when even the divemaster on
the boat got lost due to
vis problems). Actually I'll be diving with Southpoint divers when I go
down, they've
moved down Duval street and are now located within 1/2 block of the Andrews
Inn (pretty
convenient). Their boats are moored at the Hyatt Regency near Mallory
Square which is a bit of
a trek if you have a lot of gear so you'll want to take a short taxi to the
boat or do the 15 minute
walk. Anyway, if you want more details, feel free to write me at
scubaran@adelphia.net.

When I went, I stayed right in Key West and dove in Looe Key. Here is

I recently stayed at the Double Tree Hilton in Key West. Comparatively
speaking, the rates were pretty good. I tried other online reservation
sources and even the DoubleTree website. The best deal I got was when I
went to that specific hotel's website and made reservations.
I did all of my diving with Capt Jim Wyatt in Cudjo Key (about 21 miles
north) and I highly recommend him.

I've been diving with Jim several years now, and he has excellent suggestions
on where to stay for a reasonable price.
