I like them very much. Excellent in all circumstances that I dive in.
Other people will tell you exactly the opposite. Best thing to do is try a
pair, or even better, try one on one foot, a regular fin on the other foot.
Make your own conclusion. Then switch feet, actually, I mean switch fins
left to right.

Jeez, if I'm going to go to all that trouble, I might as well try one on my
dick!

I would have done that but I could not get one in that size.......

Just as well. Can ruin your trim, depending on your state of arousal.

You know that some here can't tolerate dick jokes.

Try that and you will spend the day going around in circles!!!
They have NO acceleration. They may be OK for someone who always
cruises slow underwater but I do like the ability to go fast for short
distances. ALso, I like a fin I can skin dive and scuba with... they
are HORRIBLE on the surface and they do not allow for fast diving (like
going after a fish or lobster)

Hey Ed. Tell us about the last time you went after a fish, and caught
it, on either scuba or snorkel.

24" Dog Snapper at 25' depth in 200' of water near a large oil rig 15
miles southeast of Port Aransas, TX.
I saw four or five large barracuda hovering downcurrent from the
leeward rig leg, cut the "big boy" out of the school he'd been hanging
with and then got him good and confused by pushing him towards the
barracuda. While he was trying to decide which way to go to get out
of there, I put a spear through his noggin.
I have never finned so hard so fast in all my life as I did to trap
that fish up against those barracuda. I don't know if my Mares
Quattros allowed me to make better feints and false starts or to go
faster than split fins would have; but I chased that fish down and
caught him with some of the most strenuous effort I have ever put
forth while wearing scuba gear.
He turned out to be a very tasty meal for eight.

Ross

They did.
Asumptions: (1) You are reasonably fit.
(2) You have used the Quattros long enough
to be accustomed to them.

I have a pair; used em once.
Kinda like pedaling a bicycle in first gear.

In order to answer your question, maybe you could arrange to borrow a
pair from someone... or rent a pair from your LDS to test and see.
I've never tried them but I know ppl who swear by them.
