Hello does anyone have a suggestion for alternative software to download the
Mares M1 computer into. I have been using the software from Mares but I
find this software to be rubbish. The latest version of the software will
not even work on my machine.

works well with Windows 2000
what's your problem ?

I have tried the latest version of the software on Win2000, when I come to
download my computer into it the dive profiles are all wrong,. They usually
show me going straight away from the maximum depth to the surface and then
this repeats for the duiration of the dive. I have been trying to find a
contact email to sak Mares about this but there appears to be none. I have
also tried the website which came with the original software but that does
not exist any more.

Hello

I used the version 2.1.1, found on the Mares WebSite, with a M1 RGBM.
Of course, I think you have selected the correct settings in Preferences.

Maybe you have another software which controls the same port, or settings
to check in Device Manager -> Ports
