Hello,

I read something about the fac that Poseidon regulators are not DIR, but I
cannot find the reasons.
Does someone have more info?

Every one of these may not apply to all models:

1 - Tools required to disassemble 2nd stage
If you get crap inside, it's pretty close to impossible to open it up
to clear.

2 - Non-standard hose
Good luck finding a replacement hose in Cozumel

3 - Upstream valve
1st stage IP creep may lock the 2nd stage shut... that's why the 1st
has an OPV like an argon bottle.  The OPV is an added failure point on
the primary breathing gas supply.

Geez, I didn't expect such a discussion.
Anyway, what's the idea behind this alternate design?
