Close in price, seem to be a close match in features.
Thoughts?
I have the Aeris Atmos 2 (the nitrox version of the Atmos) and I like it. I
picked it up from Scubatoys.com, which is an authorized retailer so you can
get the manufacturers warranty. After their 100 dollar rebate it was only
$268.00 for the wrist mounted version. This was a great deal for a nitrox
computer and they have great service, check them out if you want.

Drew,
Although some of my buddies have Suunto Vypers, and I have used them
several times, I have an Aeris Atmos 2. While Suunto has a
well-deserved reputation for making some very good quality stuff, I'm
not particularly fond of the Vyper...
The Aeris Atoms 2 has a much easier to read display than the Vyper.
Also the Atmos 2 is a useable dive computer for recreational diving,
while the Vyper is just too conservative to the point of almost being
almost useless IMO. (Most people I know who have Vypers only use them
in gauge mode and never use them in dive computer mode in part because
of this.)
The Atmos 2 has most of the features of the Vyper (including gauge
mode) and is very easy to program. I think you can probably buy an
Atmos 2 for less money than a Vyper. All things considered, I'd get
the Atmos 2.
Good luck,

Thanks all for the replies.
I think I'm sold on the Aeris...although I have heard that the Suunto's
conservatism is user-adjustable. Confirm or deny anyone?

It is.
From very conservative to ultra-conservative to "oh, my God, I've only
got three minutes of bottom time" conservative.
