My old analog spg is getting ratty.  Although I have an air integrated
computer (Suunto Cobra), I like to have redundancy.  So, I'm looking
for a good spg/depth gauge console.  For the spg, I see both air
filled and oil filled.  Which should I get?

Also, much of what I see is "compact" - small.  I'm over 50, and the
eyes aren't what they used to be.  Does anybody make non-compact?

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The rg2759 is 2 inch face. It has a quartz bezel too.
They don't get much better than this.
I've never seen an oil filled spg. What brand would that be?
Off hand, it doesn't sound like a good idea.

safe diving,

sorry - I meant oil filled depth gauge vs. air filled depth gauge - I
think the term for the oil filled was bourdon tube (sp?)
