A friend and I both use about the same weight diving wet with similar gear,
however diving dry I need about 32# to his #18.

The only difference is I have a Dacor Extreme and he has a Viking.  Anything
that could explain this difference?  I can't believe it could all be
undergarment, and I only add enough air to avoid the squeeze. We both use
Zeagle Bc's and HP steel tanks.

We're both fairly experienced divers though relatively new to drysuits.

Thanks,
D.C.C.

Inability to believe limits understanding.

I know the Viking is vulcanized rubber, not sure whst the Dacor is. I assume
trilaminate, so material difference wouldn't result in that much of a
weighting difference. Is there a lot more room for you in your drysuit than
there is for him in his? The extra airspace would explain a lot. Also, since
you're both new to drysuits, he may be a bit more relaxed already than you,
but, again, 14 lbs. is quite a difference.
