Looking for a heat unit, heated suits, electric under
garments...anything to keep warm while diving in frigid waters. Anyone
know of anything? I am currently using a DUI crushed neoprene dry suit
with argon gas.
Thanks,

What are you wearing under the suit?

Cheaper and safer way to go is the chem packs with the metal disc you can
get at your local drug store..
The ones you reboil, to turn back in to a liquid.
I didn't have much luck with the electric pads with the external battery
canister.
The connection didn't seem to like saltwater.
But this was quite a few years ago.
I'm sure they would have change by now and might be worth trying.
Just make sure you can turn them off in the water if they get too hot.

Those are nice.  I have a Thermopad.  You can buy them online and they ship
from Canada.  Much cheaper than buying them from such as a mall.  Do a
search for thermopad.  They are nice little units.

Take a look at Blind Man's Bluff.  We used some heated suits up in the
Arctic Circle to tap Soviet cables.  Of course they were attached to
nuclear submarines which puts them outside the range of most technical
divers...
