Hello, The wife & I are going to Koh Samui for a couple of weeks & we like
the idea of buying a sea scooter just for leisure really, we are not divers
but enjoy snorkelling. I have been looking at a 'Sea-Doo' sea scooter for
£184 or a 'Swimate' sea scooter for £99, it seems to be up to the job with a
250w motor & from the pictures looks well made. The Sea Doo looks like the
market leader with the big brand name but as we only intend light use a few
times a year should i buy 2 Swimates or 1 Sea Doo?
If you tell me the Swimate is crap i will get the Sea Doo.
Are any of them worth the money or are they naff toys? I've looked at a few
sites & seen divers using them but i would still like another opinion.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Beefheart.

Hi,

There both probably crap but the Doo has been around for awhile.  But given
as much as you say you're going to use them you might opt for the two
Swimate's.  It's more fun if you both have your own to cruse around on.
Perhaps you should ask this question in ScubaBoard.com.
