The old 300 is a great regulator. The problem with them is that they
aren't a balanced first stage and most shop monkeys try to set them up
like they were. The first stage pressure on a full tank is supposed to
be 175 but most places will set them for 150 or less.
I suggest that you get it in to a shop that really knows how to fine
tune those babies. Scuba Center of Delray in Delray Beach, FL has a guy
on staff (John ... the owner's husband) that really knows Poseidon and
has more parts in stock than the current Poseidon distributor for the
US. Give them a call. 561-278-7020

Thanks Ray, I wrote them just now and hopefully will hear back tomorrow on
the 300. I dove it today down to 45 feet here in a lake and started hearing
a small leak when I surfaced. It was the reg hose where attached to first
stage. I will get annual service done and see if this will be ok. I did
notice at about 30 feet started breathing a little hard or should I say
getting the inhalation was harder.
