I have a Nikon d70s and I am looking for a good underwater housing. I
called Sea & Sea to inquire about the Dx-70 and they told me that they
have discontinued the housing with no plans on making anything that
will fit a d70s. I can still get a housing. Do you think that Sea and
Sea is good enough equipment to last 'forever' since they are not
making it anymore? or should I look somewhere else? And at what?

I would go with the Sea and Sea. Housings tend to last. However, if
you are that concerned about it, buy 2.

Given the cost of the D-70, I think I'd look at a more mainstream housing
provider. Ikelite, comes to mind.
