Can somebody tell me the differences between the Oceanic fist stages, namely
the SP4, the DX4 and the CDX5.

I believe the SP4 is a piston type, while the others are diaphragm. The SP4
was rated very well by diver mag, but doesn't seem available anymore. I can
only find the DX4 and CDX5 which are also a good lot more expensive than the
SP4.

Can somebody please shed some light on this for me?

I have the SP4..................it has wroked for me for the last
three years. No problems. It is a piston first stage.

I think they still should be manufacturing it. Hard to get cause
companies want you to pay more for the latest technology.

Have made 130+ dives over last three years with my SP4.  Never had any
problems.  Recently bought another for my son at Leisure Pro.
