Yeah, but there was a reason I asked Curtis specifically. My Akona is
not holding out the cold at depth. I'm considering one of those Rubatex
custom jobs, which he has. Either that or selling my current drysuit
and buying one that I actually like.
Alas, I posted to the wrong group...

Did that already. In response to your ``look at my master mechanic
ultra obsessive compulsive dive kit organization laid out on the bed I'm
going to keep on truckin' now'' post.
You mean to tell me you can keep track of 15,000 o-rings but you lost my
f.cking phone number?

Yeah, well, watch this magic trick. Presto, now it's on your new computer.

This is the well known supplier of them: http://www.wetwear.com/ I
understand that there are now others who make suits from this material,
and that there is also a Japanese material that some say is good. You
might want to do a little research on the Spearo board, as some of those
guys use Rubatex and Yamamoto. FWIW, the last wetsuit I bought was a 3/2
O'neill for $89 in Key largo, and I have been quite surprised with how
it has held up.
Two friends of mine bought Rubatex suits for deep diving (200-300 ft
every weekend), and they did not last any longer than the cheap stuff.
They got crushed thin pretty quickly. They now use cheap wetsuits and
replace them often.
While we're on the subject, if you have any thoughts about Henderson
Hyperstretch, talk to George Morris before you spend any money.
One thing you can do to any wetsuit to increase its performance is to
add wrist, neck and ankle seals. Most of the custom suit builders will
do this, or you can send it to someone like Steve Gamble.
