Does anyone make a small portable device which can be used to analyse the
quality of air in a scuba tank. I am not talking about an oxygen analyser, I
am interested in checking for CO and CO2 content.

Never attempt to reason with people who know they are right.

The only kits I know of are used by dive shops to check the air quality from
their compressor.

Have a look at www. subaqua-products.co.uk and look in the catalogue for
item AC/5700 (Air - Care -Breathing Air Purity Test Kit).  This is quite
expensive at £464.15 + VAT, however if it's just a single test you require
then some ADEST service stations can do this from a sample of your air at a
fraction of the cost.  They do this as a service for dive shops and other
users of breathing air compressors, such as the Fire Brigade.
