Likes - small, can wear as a regular watch, easy to use, reliable, user
changable battery (which can cause reliability problems for people who
aren't meticulous about cleaning o-ring sealing surfaces or overgrease
o-rings).

dislikes - small display, very conservative algorithm. Not useful for
planning decompression dives (which is admittedly beyond the intended
usage of the tool)

I don't use the downloading or logging features (I have a completely
seperate box for that) so I can't comment on how well these features
work or don't work.

I agree on the small display, prefer that of my Vyper.  But my wife
has been happy with it.  Conservative algorithm isin't necessarily a bad
thing.

I have been downloading stuff from both the Vyper and Mosquito with a
home-build interface, and logging stuff into the Suunto software.  No
problems.  The new D9 has a nice graphical display of the log right on
the watch, but at many times the price.

All in all a nice little computer for recreational diving.

Small, compact, can be used as a watch when not diving on a dive
holiday (albeit a big one), downloading is easy to use, NITROX and
Freedive modes as well as standard, battery can be changed by the user,
algorithm can be "adjusted" to personal "risk avoidance level" through
the PC interface.

Dislikes - As usual, small screen, "audible alarm" isn't, mine started
hanging up on my last dive trip.

Battery indicator showed good and then all of the sudden, empty. I
don't know if the hang-up was caused by the battery or something else.
It would start loosing time (minutes on the hour level) and then would
just stop responding totally. I replaced the battery when I got home
(had a spare Computer with me since my wife wasn't diving) and it
hasn't lost any time since so..... I will try again with a back-up for
safety's sake

All in all, I liked it until this last trip but I am not ready to call
it a POS yet....

3. Long battery life (I have only replaced the battery once in 3 years)
4. looks like a cheap Seiko watch so the thieves ignore it when traveling to
the third world

Dislikes
1. Very conservative Algorithm even when set to the least conservative mode,
When teaching I often get locked out due to the numerous ascents I make
without doing safety stops on each and every one. Seems dumb to do a 15ft SS
when ascending from 20ft!
2. Sometimes displays useless info as default like local time instead of
bottom time. To see bottom time I have to press a button until I get back to
the surface and reset what the default display should be
3. doesn't look as cool as my dive watch

I like it a lot and it use it when I travel.
