Anyone out there know where the serial number is located on the Cobra
computer.
Is it part or the software that can be called up or is it located inside the
unit?

It's on the DC Settings tab of the dive info.

If it is like the vyper it is also on the back under the rubber boot

It comes up in the SDM download, and it is also engraved on the case behind
the boot.

If, when you say inside the unit you mean under the boot, than yes. The
serial number is on the back of the 'hockey puck' and you have to remove
it from the boot the same way you would to replace the battery to find
the serial number.
