Last year me and the wife brought 2 Sea Doo sea-scooters , They are rated at
2 mph and we really find them just to slow, does anyone know if there are
any modified parts made to make them faster or will the newer Sea Doo VS
supercharged motor swap into the early ones.
Any help is appreciated.

Trade them in for Apollo scooters!

Don't try to make it do something it's not designed to do, it will either
break or fail.

Get the right tool for the job.

BTW, the other way to get better speed & battery life from any scooter is to
be as streamlined as possible, so that the scooter has the least amount of
work to do against it's biggest enemy, namely drag (friction of water).
Thus, a tidy diver will give the best performance from the scooter and also
have the most relaxed & enjoyable diving.

Words of a realist.

When you depend on something, ensure it is fit for that purpose.  They did
not send Yuri Gagarin into space on the same rocket as the one that launched
Sputnik.

I'm looking for a scooter to pull me a mile or two down the coast and back
again to various dive sites.  Then my buddy and I will tie off our two
scooters to kelp, dive a bit at a site, then scooter some more (snorkeling
depth) until we reach the next site, dive some more, etc.  Depth will be 25
feet or less, and I would only be interested in scooters I could "clip on"
rather than "hang on" too.   I'm more interested in range (two or three
miles round trip) and/or predictable running time (at least 60 minutes) than
speed.  After all, I wouldn't want to run out of battery time 1/4 mile from
shore!

Get either a Tekna/Mako (for recreational depths) or buy a SS if you want
deeper/longer/better/faster :)

Great if you have loads of cash, or need the ruggedness & burn-times of a
Gavin type scooter for caving; however the Apollo is fine for most
open-water diving, and with some well-known modifications, can go rather
deep (known depths of 70m)

Apollo makes a good scooter, It's what I trained on and at full blast @ 10
meters the water washign past is enough to make you have to bite down on the
mouthpice to keep the reg in place :) pure fun :)
