Concer with Schmidt post it so I can see it without needing a password and I
will give it ago. Pastinachus sephen if this is what you mean by a cow tail
ray is rairly easy to ID

Pastinachus sephen
A large, dark stingray, greyish brown to black, with a very long, tapering
tail. Tail usually has one sting (barb). Cowtail stingrays are common
inshore and may venture into estuaries and freshwater. They are quite
inquisitive.
Size: Can grow to at least 1.8 metres disc width.
