Hello all.
Planning a trip from the U.S. to Australia late July/early August 2006 and
want to get in several days, possibly up to a week, of diving.
Can you please reommend locations and shops/resorts to work with?
Thank you in advance.

or just a fantastic dive to see the structures and the wildlife?

Michael,

Based on the information we've received previously, and the time of year we
plan to go (Jul/Aug) we're thinking of the Great Barrier reef (yes, I know,
big area) and staying in Cairns.

Both of us Advanced Open Water ( one of us Dive Master once upon a time).
Plan to get Nitrox certified before hand.

Not hung up on any particular kind of diving. Would like to do a bit of what
is available.

Thank you!

Charles
