G'day, I have recently been diagnosed with mild diabetes which is controlled
with diet and exercise and no medications required. My question is: can I
still scuba dive? Is there any laws/regulations prohibitting me from further
scuba diving?

Many thanks.

You have diabetes or not , there's no mild form of diabates

In Holland  you can dive with diabetes, only there are extra things for your medical licence
there is for that no diffence between type 1or type 2 diabetes , your blood sugar levels must
be for a long time at a good level , your condition must be 100 precent en you body should
be able to endure pysical en mental stress, plan your dive - dive your plan , avoid decompresion
dives and heavy weather you must be able at any time to abort your dive when you think you
are having a hypo , your buddy must be "normal"  (no diabetes) ... hehehehe , you should be
able to control your diabetes at your own and you shoudend have micro-albuminurie don't know
what it is but enjoy it         _[:]0

For me i'm diving with type 2 and using metformine 3x850 no problems, eh no problems pfffffffffff
metformine gives me diaria and give new dimensions to my wetsuit when i'm dive in cold water
2/3 degrees C
