The NYC Sea Gypsies, a dive club for about a quarter century now, is made up of individuals of all ages from all walks of life with one thing in common, we all share a love of scuba diving. Our monthly meetings, attended by usually 40-50 members, begin with a fast-paced business meeting, committee reports, dive reports, introduction of visitors, interspersed with late arrivals & muted dinner orders. Following a short surface interval - - to pay dinner tabs - - will be a presentation, including films, mixed media or slides, on a dive topic (travel, safety, marine life, equipment, underwater adventure, etc.) and plenty of opportunity to socialize!
