Traveling Tips
- Verify your flight at least 48 hours before the flight.
- Before booking a reef trip, check out weather conditions; its best not to go out in rough seas. Poor visibility, strong winds and waves reduce safe interaction at the reef.

- Take two picture IDs (Passport, birth certificate, drivers license, etc.).
- Know the climate and whether of the place and pack as light as possible.
- Take a save dive kit that includes: extra dive light, extra mask strap, fin strap, batteries, dive computer.
- Take sun glasses and sunblock.
- Take sea sickness medication with you on the trip.
- Have a small first aid kit.
- If you are taking new stuff like a camera check it with customs prior to leaving so that they do not try to charge you when you re-enter.
- Avoid drinking tap water and drinks with ice in a foreign country.
- Have a list of emergency phone numbers for the country of your choice.
- Have water-resistant jacket.
- Try to avoid eating strange food especially sea food in a foreign country.
- Do not dive at least twelve hours before flying.
Tips for Divers and Snorkelers
- Do not touch the corals. Remember that even the lightest touch with hands or equipment can damage sensitive coral polyps.
- Resist the temptation to feed fish, seabirds and marine mammals; it changes their natural behavior and diet.
- Snorkelers should wear float coats — inflatable snorkel vests — to allow gear adjustment without standing on the coral. Never stand upon a coral reef!
- To avoid contact with the ocean bottom, divers should only use the weight needed and practice proper buoyancy control. Areas that appear empty may support new growth if left undisturbed.
- Avoid wearing gloves and touching or collecting marine life. Most tropical fish captured die within a year.
- Bring back any trash you find and recycle it, if possible.
